Clients of "Rīgas satiksme" are positive about changing names of some public transport stops

An absolute majority (72%) of "Rīgas satiksme" clients are positive about changing names of some public transport stops, as it allows them to better orientate themselves in the city. It is evidenced by the results of an opinion survey carried out on the "Rīgas satiksme" website.

14% respondents are positive about this initiative, yet they note that getting used to new names of public transport stops will take some time, and 6%, however being positive about changing names of public transport stops, say it does not concern them, as no public transport stop has had its name changed on the routes they go by.

Only 8% of respondents have not noticed any public transport stop name change.

More than 2300 users of "Rīgas satiksmes" website participated in the survey carried out in October 2013.

As reported earlier, some public transport stops have had their names changed as of November 1, 2013.
